Our Design Philosophy

Ocular Harmony’s philosophy on web design is to observe the fundamentals of what a website is, does, and has the potential to do. A website is an information outlet published to a medium with global accessibility, known as the world wide web. There are four  core parts of having an effective webpage. Layout, content, SEO, and Marketing.

Layout
Web designs are not built to look pretty. Instead, the layout of a site should be a clean design built for the target audience. We follow a rule of implementing an effective, easy to navigate design to all the sites we create. We believe in using the layout as a method of communication itself to reflect the personality of the site or business.

Content
Strong, well-delivered content targeted at the correct audience is what communicates the message of your website, so having powerful writing is mandatory to deliver your message effectively. We inspect all the content and will ensure a hierarchy of importance is established to prioritize your goals of the site.

Search Engine Optimization
A website doesn’t do much unless people read it. SEO is the abbreviation for Search Engine Optimization. Search engines have certain algorithms for calculating the importance of a web page and measuring where to place it in the search engine ranking pages (SERPs) on the basis of keywords. We ensure your website is internally SEO-Optimized.

Marketing
It will take a while for search engines to start sending high amounts of traffic, depending on your niche. Having a strong marketing plan is crucial to drive people to your site. Aside from Social Media Marketing and SEO, we do not provide marketing services.

Pricing

The price of a website depends on the amount of content, the time spent on designing / planning, and the time and difficulty it takes to program it. Websites start at $1500 for the most simple projects. For maintenance work and hourly billing, we charge $35 / hour.
